Join us on our March Statewide Tour
The momentum is undeniable. 2014 will be the year Oregon wins the freedom to marry.
With last Thursday’s announcement the Oregon will NOT defend its current marriage ban in federal court, the movement to win marriage is on a strong path for success in the current effort to overturn Measure 36 in court this summer.
But won’t be enough to just win marriage. We must also defend it.
Over the next four months, we have a new—and huge—job ahead of us: we will need to educate Oregonians on our opponents’ current efforts to qualify a discrimination initiative, a measure that would let businesses deny commercial services to people because of who they are and who they love.
That’s why we’re kicking off a statewide tour over the next few weeks to connect with our supporters across the state to talk about the rapidly changing movement landscape, next steps in Oregon, and how supporters like you can help fight the Oregon Family Council’s discrimination measure.
