Now is our moment
Eric with his partner Steve and their three children
As told by Eric Warshaw:
Steve and I met in 1994. We were both walking our dogs. We fell in love quickly, I think because we had a lot in common. We are both doctors. We are both into fitness and exercise. We both wanted a family. Since then we have moved in together, built a life together and adopted three children.
We want the freedom to marry because we are in love with each other, we are committed to each other and because marriage strengthens families and would strengthen ours.
We were the first same-sex male couple to marry when marriage was briefly legal in Multnomah County, and we’ve been excited to be at the front lines of the movement for more than a decade now.
Now is our moment to finally win the freedom to marry in Oregon, and we’re excited to hit the streets and help make our dreams of marriage a reality.
